and developed air-conditioning methods for the curing and conditioning of tobacco which greatly increased the efficiency of tobacco processing and made substantial savings in waste raw material While with Carrier, Mr Buensod was also an officer and director of the Tobacco Treating Co In 1930 he was respon sible for the design, installation, and operation of the first single contract for air conditioning involv ing more than $1 million, this project was for the RCA Building in Radio City.

In 1935 he formed Buensod-Stacey Air Conditioning Co., Inc., now known as Buensod-Stacey, Inc. From 1935 to 1957 he continued his research and development in the tobacco field, and a number of patents were issued in hismame. Mr.

Buensod had been active in the American Society of Refrigerating Engineers and the American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers, and in 1957 he was ele vated to the grade of Fellow of the latter society He was a registered professional engineer
