' As the tyrannical government of the Company there is intolerable; for a man in that country is not sure of either his life or property, if he but say anything displeasing or otherwise oSensive to the Governors who comport themselves like sovereign tyrants. * The English or Swedes, of whose subjection there is less appearance. ^ And so prevent men ever dreading the like again.
